Get Us Listed LLC (“we,” “us” or “our”) runs getuslisted.com. This page explains what this website collects when you use it, why, where it goes and how long it is kept. It covers this website only.
What You Send Us Through a Form
The contact form (also at the foot of most pages), the free audit request, the 90-day marketing plan builder and the instant snapshot on Free Marketing Tools ask for details such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address, industry, town, the service you are interested in, your goal or budget, and your message. Each form asks only for some of these, and an email address is the one thing every form needs.
Along with what you type, a form sends the address of the page you sent it from, any campaign tags in the link that brought you to the site (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign) and, if your browser kept one, the short record of your visit described under “Cookies and Your Browser’s Storage” below.
Each enquiry is stored as a private record in this website’s database, which only signed-in Get Us Listed staff can open, and is emailed to us at sales@getuslisted.com. The website then sends you one automatic email confirming that your message arrived, and we reply ourselves by email, phone or text using the details you gave.
How We Use It
- To answer your enquiry and prepare the audit, plan or quote you asked for.
- To follow up with you about that enquiry.
- To keep a record of what you asked and what we told you.
We do not sell your information.
Calls and Text Messages
The call and text buttons open your own phone’s dialler or messaging app. A call or text goes from your phone to ours through your carrier, and we see your number as we would with any call or text. The website itself keeps nothing about it beyond adding one to that day’s button-click count for the page.
Keeping Spam Out
To stop automated spam, each form asks a simple question, carries a hidden field that only robots fill in, and notes how many seconds the page was open before it was sent. Your internet (IP) address is turned into a scrambled code to limit how many forms one connection can send in ten minutes; that count expires after ten minutes, and your IP address is not stored with your enquiry. Submissions caught by these checks are thrown away, not kept.
Who Can Visit
This website is open to visitors in the United States and its territories. To check that, the IP address of each request is compared with a list of address ranges assigned in the United States, kept on our own server; for an ordinary visit the address is not stored or sent anywhere for this check. A request from outside those ranges that says it comes from a search engine’s crawler is checked with a standard DNS lookup of its address, to confirm it really belongs to that search engine. Anyone else outside those ranges sees a short notice instead of the site.
Visitor Counts and Logs
The website counts page views and button clicks for each page, per day. It sets no cookie for this and stores nothing about you: no IP address, no browser details, only the daily totals. In the same way it counts how quickly pages load for visitors (as good, needs-improvement or poor), the words typed into the site’s search box and whether they found anything, and, for each page with a form, how many visitors start the form, how many send it and the name of the last field used by those who leave without sending. Nothing you type into a form leaves your browser until you press send.
Search engines and AI assistants send automated crawlers to read web pages. The site keeps a daily count of visits from known crawlers, by the crawler’s name and the page it read. When someone asks for a page address that does not exist, the site records that address, how often it was asked for and the page that linked to it, so we can fix or redirect broken links.
Cookies and Your Browser’s Storage
The forms, visitor counts and logs described on this page set no cookies. WordPress, the software the site runs on, sets cookies only for signed-in staff and, if you leave a blog comment and tick the box to save your details, to fill in your name and email next time.
Some features use your browser’s own storage instead, which stays on your device:
- For the length of your visit (cleared when you close the tab): the page you arrived on, the site that sent you, any campaign tags, and up to the last 20 pages you viewed here. This record is sent to us only if you submit a form.
- Also for the length of your visit: whether you closed the call-and-text bar, so it does not come back.

Pictures and Badges From Other Sites
Our homepage shows directory and membership badges loaded from RankWatch (rankwatch.com) and the Chamber of Commerce (coc.codes). Your browser fetches those images from their servers, which receive your IP address and browser details as with any web request; their own privacy policies apply. Links to our clients’ websites and other sites take you off getuslisted.com, and this policy does not cover them.
Blog Comments
If you comment on a blog post, WordPress stores the name, email address and website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser details to help spot spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries stay in our records until we delete them, and we will delete yours when you ask. The daily page counts and crawler counts are kept for 180 days, page-speed counts for 120 days, missing-address records for 90 days, form counts for 60 days, and the spam-limit counts for ten minutes. The search-box list keeps only the 100 most frequent searches.
Who Else Sees It
Your enquiry is seen only by Get Us Listed. It is stored on the server that hosts this website and passes through the email service that delivers our notifications; we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Your Choices
Every form on this site is optional, and you can browse without sending one. You can ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you, and to stop contacting you. Ask by email or phone, using the details below.
Children
This website is for business owners and is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
When the website starts collecting something new or stops collecting something, we update this page and the date at the top.
